The Hangleton and Knoll Project - working for a better community

HaKIT

Residents in the HaKIT computer suite

HaKIT is our IT department delivering training and providing IT resources to the local community. We have developed an IT training suite based at St Richards Church and Community Centre where we can accommodate up to 10 learners for each session.

We run regular short courses in everything from Digital photography editing to Office 2010 to Basic Computing. We also run a popular, free IT drop-in every Wednesday in three sessions, 10am - 12 Noon; 1pm - 3pm & 3pm - 5pm and every Friday morning we have a free Financial Inclusion drop-in. Both drop-ins are led by our friendly qualified Tutor and you are able to work at your own pace, in your own time.

The HaKIT project now regularly supports and trains approximately 132 local residents a year and has over 1440 visits a year.
